The Plague Release Touching New Single “Will You Ever Know Me”

Fresh off their run with Music Saves Lives on Vans Warped Tour, Rochester-based “Futurepunk” band The Plague has released their latest single “Will You Ever Know Me”. The track is a very personal story about frontman David Adam Monroe’s relationship with his father.

He was diagnosed with cancer at a time where our relationship was not at a strong point,” says Monroe. “The song is about grieving the loss of a relationship, when part of you wants to keep hope alive.

“Will You Ever Know Me” will be on The Plague’s debut album Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E, releasing on October 13th via Recover Records. While out on Warped Tour, the band distributed 22,000 samplers including their singles “Danger,” “Not The Only One,” and “Fallen.” The proceeds were donated to the Music Saves Lives foundation.

Before starting The Plague, Monroe led the band Third Estate who appeared on Warped Tour from 02-06 and toured with many established acts such as Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and My Chemical Romance. After their disbandment, Monroe began producing records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson), and served as an A&R rep for Victory and Torque records.

“Will You Ever Know Me” is available track now on iTunes.

The Plague Release “Fallen” with Celestial Lyric Video

Rochester-based “Futurepunk” band The Plague has released their latest single “Fallen” along with a celestial lyric video. The visual (created by Black Sheep Media) takes the viewer aboard a bio-mechanical mothership while detailing the song’s message of trusting your sense between right and wrong.

I wrote this song after my first band broke up,” says Frontman David Adam Monroe. “We toured for 10 years and without that band I didn’t know what to do with my life. I started following a voice inside me that was figuring what is right and wrong, I started following a higher power. I learned a lot about human potential for courage because I had to take a lot of risks and fight against a lot of forces telling me not to change and grow.

Monroe’s first band, Third Estate, appeared on Warped Tour from 02-06 and toured with many established acts like Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and My Chemical Romance. After their disbandment, Monroe began producing records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson), and served as an A&R rep for Victory and Torque records.

“Fallen” will be on The Plague’s debut album Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E, releasing in the fall of 2017 on Recover Records. You can purchase “Fallen” now on iTunes.

Catch the band at Vans Warped Tour on July 13th in Darien Center, NY.

Futurepunk band The Plague Release “Danger” Music Video

Rochester-based “Futurepunk” band The Plague has released their debut music video for the single “Danger”. Released last month, the post-apocalyptic track comes from the group’s upcoming EP Hope For the F.U.T.U.R.E and has already racked up over 78K plays on Spotify. In an effort to continue their DIY approach (the band releases all their music on their own label Recover Records), the trio enlisted their longtime friend Scott Hamilton to shoot the video.

Frontman David Adam Monroe says “We got something gritty that we are pumped about and hopefully our fans enjoy seeing us play for the first time!

Monroe wrote and produced the entire song himself, which should come as no surprise as he has produced records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson). Before getting into the production side, Monroe was in the band Third Estate, who appeared on Warped Tour from 02-06 and toured with many established acts like Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and MCR.

Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E will be released in the fall of 2017 on Recover Records.

Catch the band at the Buffalo, NY stop of the Vans Warped Tour on July 13th.

One Last Shot Premiere Music Video Ahead of Warped Tour Run

Horror-infused punk/screamo band One Last Shot from Syracuse, NY has released a new music video for their single “Grim Reminder”. The track premiered on the Vans Warped Tour website in anticipation for the group’s appearance on the festival this year. In the video, the band conceptualizes the idea that people are often afraid to express themselves the way they want to in life, due to the fear of judgement and ridicule.

The smiling masks & matching shirts represent how people wear fake smiles on their face and dress the same to fit in,” says vocalist Jeremy Romance. “Even though they may want to express themselves differently, deep down inside, they’re afraid of doing so. At the end of the video they force the masks on us, symbolizing that some people would rather us be like everyone else, instead of expressing ourselves the way we actually feel.”

The video was shot by B-horror director Ron Bonk (She KillsNight of the Strange) and the comes from One Last Shot’s latest concept album The Death of a Poet & All of His Friends. The “Poet” character is loosely based off Romance’s own struggles with life and death. At age 17, he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that has no cure and requires daily medication in order for him to stay alive.

The Death of a Poet & All of His Friends is available now on iTunes and Spotify.

Indie Band Treason This Share "Joy" Music Video Ahead of Warped Tour Appearance

005

Milwaukee indie rock quintet Treason This has released a new music video for their single “Joy”. The quirky video has an upbeat sound to match its name, however vocalist Michael Ingle states the track was written at major low point in his life.

This song was sort of a turn around for me,” says Ingle. “I realized that I was letting my own happiness be determined entirely by everyone else’s opinions. I wasn’t being true to myself, and was giving in to the pressure of what other people wanted me to be. ‘Joy’ was written about picking myself back up, and pushing myself to become happy in the moment. It’s about taking life for all that it’s worth.

13499920_10210300567495998_239798587_o“Joy” was produced by Peter Doucette Photography and is the first single off of an upcoming EP set to be released in Late 2016/Early 2017. Treason This will also be appearing on the Milwaukee date of the Van’s Warped Tour after placing second overall in the entire PLAY Warped Tour contest.

About Treason This:
Treason This is a Indie-Rock/Pop-Punk band out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

With every line the band teaches a master class on wordy, yet undeniably infectious hooks that will have you singing along for weeks. Driven by Ingle’s highly relatable lyrics, woven carefully into pounding guitars and drums, each track shows depth and character far beyond the members years.

Somewhere in the realm of a My Chemical Romance/Motion City Soundtrack/Say Anything cross breed, the band launches from gut wrenchingly defeated, to 100% teen angst in seconds flat.

Home For Fall Release New Music Video for “Too Late”

Pop punk trio Home For Fall has released their second music video, “Too Late”, from their new EP Everything I Never Said (EP produced/engineered at Compass Audio, video shot by Vince Lundi around the band’s college campus).

“The song is about moving on after going through some tough times, but the overall tone is that everything is gonna be just fine!” says vocalist Taylor Liff. “The video was so much fun to shoot and I hope that people enjoy it!”

Home For Fall has spent the summer of 2015 playing as many shows as possible, including the Van’s Warped Tour date in Cuyahoga Falls as well as opening for Have Mercy, Transit and many more. They’re currently working on their debut full-length, which is due for a 2016 release.

Formed in the Fall of 2013, Home For Fall was started by vocalist/guitarist Taylor Liff. Taylor grew up with a strong passion for music, and now he’s ready to take it to the next level. He was first inspired to begin music training by listening to Blink-182 and many other of his favorite bands as a child. In summer 2008, he and his family moved from California to Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and he was forced to start anew. After a series of unsuccessful craigslist ads, Taylor began putting up fliers around Kent State University and the Kent City area, and eventually the band was formed. With bassist Matt Bowen and long time friend and drummer Jack Burg, Taylor finally found the right group of guys to pursue his dreams with. Home For Fall are the next big thing to hit the Northeast Ohio Pop Punk scene and are looking to expand into other local scenes as well.
