The Plague Release Upbeat Synth-Punk Single “Can’t Stop Loving You”

Rochester-based “Futurepunk” band The Plague has debuted another new single from their upcoming full-length album Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E. The track “Can’t Stop Loving You” is an upbeat tune about accepting someone for who they are and loving them unconditionally.

Frontman/producer David Adam Monroe says “Getting close to someone takes risk. There are many moments when it is normal to get afraid of rejection. ‘Will this person accept my most core feelings, thoughts, ideas or even secrets?’ ‘Can I trust them to deal with my anger, joy, failure and successes?’ I wrote ‘Can’t Stop Loving You’ about unconditional love. I wrote it to let the people close to me know that I will be there for them no matter what, and that I accept them the way they are and I love them. I’m lucky enough to have them love me back and I am forever grateful. Relationships are the best thing I have in my life.

Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E will be released on October 13th via Recover Records, a label owned and operated by the band themselves. Monroe is no stranger to the business side of music, producing records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson), and serving as an A&R rep for Victory and Torque records. Before that, Monroe led the band Third Estate who appeared on Warped Tour from 02-06 and toured with many established acts such as Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and My Chemical Romance.

After 20 years in the music industry, Monroe sought to create a project that would spread a message of hope, and to rebel against these growing self-destructive ideals. “In the early days, most of my experience in the music industry seemed plastic and fake. Every time I got involved in something that seemed like it was going to take off, I was very concerned about the situation. Music is important to me, but so is being kind and loving. I didn’t feel I could make the world a better place with those opportunities, whereas working in a basement on this record has already done more for me spiritually than any work in the past.” says Monroe.

“Can’t Stop Loving You” is available now on all online retailers.

The Plague Celebrate Adversity on New Single “Make Me Over”

Rochester-based “Futurepunk” band The Plague‘s debut album Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E will arrive on October 13th, but you can catch their new single “Make Me Over” below. The pulsating rock track is about how life can throw you curveballs that expose your weaknesses and help you grow.

Frontman/producer David Adam Monroe says “Sometimes the hardest thing to do in difficult times is celebrate the wisdom that you’re getting from the situation. This song is about celebrating forces beyond your control guiding you to being a better person. In my life, all the best things that happened to me, whether it be my relationships with friends and family or perspective that I’ve gotten overtime, have been a result of things that I didn’t plan. When I take a step back, I can appreciate the pain that I’ve been through in my life and I thank god for it.

Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E will be released via Recover Records, a label owned and operated by the band themselves. Monroe is no stranger to the business side of music, producing records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson), and serving as an A&R rep for Victory and Torque records. The Plague Release Touching New Single “Will You Ever Know Me”

Fresh off their run with Music Saves Lives on Vans Warped Tour, Rochester-based “Futurepunk” band The Plague has released their latest single “Will You Ever Know Me”. The track is a very personal story about frontman David Adam Monroe’s relationship with his father.

He was diagnosed with cancer at a time where our relationship was not at a strong point,” says Monroe. “The song is about grieving the loss of a relationship, when part of you wants to keep hope alive.

“Will You Ever Know Me” will be on The Plague’s debut album Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E, releasing on October 13th via Recover Records. While out on Warped Tour, the band distributed 22,000 samplers including their singles “Danger,” “Not The Only One,” and “Fallen.” The proceeds were donated to the Music Saves Lives foundation.

Before starting The Plague, Monroe led the band Third Estate who appeared on Warped Tour from 02-06 and toured with many established acts such as Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and My Chemical Romance. After their disbandment, Monroe began producing records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson), and served as an A&R rep for Victory and Torque records.

“Will You Ever Know Me” is available track now on iTunes.

The Plague Release New Single “Not The Only One”

Freshly launched experimental pop-punk band The Plague has released “Not The Only One”, the second single from their forthcoming debut EP Hope For the F.U.T.U.R.E. The track is a follow-up to “Danger“, a single that racked up over 34K plays on Spotify in two weeks and charted in the iTunes Top 50 Hot Tracks. “Not The Only One” is a heady song about addiction, recovery, and the need to move on from toxic relationships.

Frontman David Adam Monroe says “It was difficult and scary because I wasn’t sure that I was ever going to find anybody that I could relate with and was afraid I was gonna be alone. I thought I wouldn’t find anyone that would appreciate me for being myself. The chorus is me telling myself that it’s going to be OK. On the other hand, I wrote the song so long after the situation and after I had already found those relationships, so in that way I was writing it for other people who are in that situation and need encouragement.

Monroe wrote and produced the entire song himself, which should come as no surprise as he has produced records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson). Before getting into the production side, Monroe was in the band Third Estate, who appeared on Warped Tour from 02-06 and toured with many established acts like Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and MCR.

Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E will be released in the fall of 2017 on the band’s own label Recover Records.
